got up grabbed the gill box and tossed the yak on top of the truck

nothing fancy in that box few nymphs and  foam spidersand bees  ( i notice yellow and black get more  hits)
i got to Phoenix and the road was blocked  they paved so headed to another spot.....

last week i had done nothingi here but that changed big gills  all on a bead head nymph






got enough for a good dinner or two





i rate it as a great day

tooka large coffee with me and really enjoyed myself today ,same results as yesterday my only change i fished a olive wolly worm

and  now were having  fish tonight and a bunch getting frozen

i  was   grilling a  few  burgers and  corn on the  cob  when a  small green hopper  (perfect size for  bluegills) landed  on my  table  and  gave me  a  idea  for  a  new hopper  patteren something  easy  to  tie   and  a fun  fly to  fish...i'll be playing on the  bench  today...... by the  way i  was  a  brute  and  tossed  the little  guy in a  bucket of water  so i  could  see how he  would  appear  to a  hungry  blue  gill

I was playing at the bench yesterday and came up with this take on a Latort Hopper.



I stink at spinning deer hair so i decided to use a foam head with an indicator so i could see the darned thing.
 That’s a #12 TMC 100 dry fly hook. Turkey tail legs and turkey wing case.

Should work.
