The drake, as promised.  Saw waxwings picking them off last night as I fished my way up the creek from an access point 1/4 mile downstream.

Very nice  ;D that one was in Speculator, NY, Sacandaga Lake, The first one I've seen in the Adirondacks.  :o They are all over the place down on the Shenandoah River, VA, and the hellgramites are hugh down there and the smallies and redeye tear them up.  ;D

Yeah, I have alot of the Dobsonflies here, but I cannot find hellagramites to save my life!

It's spring, and we just got a new camera.  Walked around the house with the Canon Rebel XT SLR digital, sporting the EFS 17-85mm IS/USM lens.





These images are tiny, and don't do the camera justice.  The original images (before cropping) are just under 8 megapixels, and run about 4MB a piece.
