Love the chartreuse on top, would be quite deadly on the slabs here in Indiana! ;D

RG  thanks anyway.  I guess I will have to improvise.   Very small screws around the frame.  BTW,  nice crappie flys. Geo.

Are the screws stripped? I did see a screw kit for them.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Spent some tying crappie flies today. A couple of my go to patterns.

Nice ties Rg!

I spent some time at the bench myself. Made some more sz16 larvae. Got the yarn from the Mrs. scrap bin.....hard to tell from the picture but it's a nice green/lt. olive color. 8-10 wraps of lead free weight under the yarn.

No, missing. Three of my reels are missing at least one screw. Don't ask me how, I go over them every year.  Info on the screw kit. Thanks Geo.

Get some lock tite and apply to screw threads just a suggestion..   I have used epoxy once trust me only if you don't want to get it back out..

Use Blue or super glue. A bit of heat and you'll be able to remove them.

Got frustrated with my Bodkin today. It's been around for some 15 years and is getting pretty ragged so I turned a handle for a new one.  Also bought a really cool pair of scissors. Very comfortable and sharp.

Fiakars Total Conteol Scissors.

I'll just ignore that.

Glad to hear someone else conditions their fly lines.

Yesterday's time at the bench was just filling in some blanks and having fun.

One olive Wooly Bugger ( can't believe I'm out of olive marabou)
A few soft hackle Wooly Buggers
Some crappie flies
A few more Caddis nymphs
Mini Buggers
Beady Eyed Bluegill Killers
A few bead head streamers
And a couple little crayfish

Haven't tied those crayfish in years. I was looking for a sample in my collection and couldn't find one. Guess I need to tie up a bunch of those😀

And a quick note....the new scissors are pretty nice to work with. I modified the tips just a little to make them a bit thinner. But I find them to be extremely sharp. They passed the Kevelar thread test. They'll take a little getting used to but they're great quality for $12.
