Milles Lacs first timer!
« on: Feb 29, 2012, 04:35 PM »
I will be fishing Milles Lacs for the first time this year around the third weekend in May. I have heard it can be a rough lake so I  am looking to rent a 17- 18 foot reliable boat. I am willing to pay a fair price but dont want to get fleeced either. Any fishing suggestions would also be appreciated. I will be staying at a golf course on Gull lake. So if there are other better/compareble lakes in the area that info would be great also. Walleye or bass are sought after species. Will trade info for great spots in Northern ontario or Southern Manitoba.

Thanks.

Which course are you going to be at at on gull lake ?
The reason i'm asking is i work at madden's on gull.
I could show you some spots there that will blow the doors off mil lacs on and given day
and you dont have to drive.

Yeah, there is no reason to drive to Mille Lacs if you are already on Gull! Some of those lakes you will be within minutes of will really surprise you. Mille lacs is still a good 30 min from gull.
