Crappie on fire over the weekend
« on: Sep 06, 2023, 08:12 AM »
My dad and I fished some lakes north of Ft Wayne and the crappie were attacking minnows (live and dead) constantly, even in the 90+ degree heat.  The only reason we stopped Sunday is we ran out of bait.  I believe the largest was 11" with the average size about 9"

Try a jig under a bobber when the bite is that good. A good way to learn and gain confidence in a new technique.

Running out of bait is always better than coming home with extra!

Funny you say that, we were doing just that only with a slip bobber, split shot sinker and a #10 hook instead.  Were getting them between 3-5 fow.
