Ray got a bow and a 5lb brown.   My big male went 7.02lb, the 2 big females were 6.5lbs each. Rest were all 3lb minnows.Maybe a 4 in there. The Brown and big male are still swimming.

Scuds as in freshwater shrimp?

Yes.

Tried to get those established in a pond once, however it's tough if you don't have good weed cover as the fish really seek them.  I'm guessing you don't have a lot of weed cover out there but due to the size of the body of water the fish can't over graze them?

Its a 4600 acre lake deepest is 42 ft.  LOTS of shallows for weeds.  They stock the bows at 3"-7"  these fish are prolly 2.5 years old.  Lake has lots of Browns, Walleyes, and carp.  Fish grow like 2" per month in summer.

Lake has fished the same for 30 years or so-
