This is my biggest, 5.5 lbs.  Caught on a nightcrawler in the Hudson River, 2003 ;D.

Nice one Hookset but that forked tail means it's a channel cat.  A really fat channel cat for the length. ;D

I got a 2.7 pound in the Hudson this last summer. Caught it on a 10" herring for stripers...bizarre... ::)

Is a 1 Lb. 12 oz. really huge?? In Massachusetts all it takes is a 1 LB 12 Oz bullhead for a state pin...doesnt seem huge but is that a big fish for a bullhead?

That's not really huge, but its a big bullhead. Probably 16 incher, its not something you'll catch everyday though.

My guess is that ones about 12-13 inches, above average sized bullhead, probably weighs 3/4 - 1 pound.

I was younger then but i can remember pulling some big Bulls out of the St. Lawrence River.   18-20 inchers I believe

3 different batches, smallest was around 10 and the biggest was around 13 or 14 inches

Here is a fatty one for ya.  ;D Got her today, along with another that was 14"s.  8)
