autopilots

I've been looking at autopilots all winter trying to decide which one I might like.  Anyone here have any experience with them.  I only have a 17' boat walk thru type with mecanical steering.  The sport pilot looked interesting but they have stopped making them.  Anyone have any suggestions on a good setup?  I like the price range of the sport pilots anyone else make a comparable product at a similar price?  Better yet anyone have a used on they want to unload....lol

I just put a Raymarine Sport Pilot Plus on my boat.  It will work with mechanical steering.  I need to send the unit back because the clutch is defective.  The unit is very easy to install.  It also comes with a 2 year waranty.
