Gilbert Lake
« on: Aug 02, 2013, 11:17 AM »
Fished up at Gilbert Lake State Park in otsego county this past weekend. Had luck with some rainbow trout off the dock with worm and marshmallow rigs as well as some largemouth action on drop shot rigs and wacky rigged senkos. The other anglers there were also having good luck with rainbows on marshmallow rigs, as well a a 22'' brown caught on a spoon. Gilbert is a beautiful little lake and offers that rare oppourtunity to catch trout from shore during the heat of the summer.

Spent the last three days up at Gilbert Lake with my parents, and the fishing was good! All on worm/marshmallow rigs.

Beautiful Lake. Always good to try somewhere else once a while. Was surprised to see your fall colors aren't more along though. Was up in northern Michigan last weekend and they are close to peak.
