Is the smelt pop. still in Bad shape in Sebago? How much has the PH dropped in the last 50 years? I though I heard someone say the White fish were starting to come back.

Those perch fry?  Baby alweives?  Don't look like bass and surely not smelt.

cant say with the pic, the ones im seeing have squared off tails but aboiut the right size and the togue they are in look almost dead the way the bellies flopp in when you turn them over. some of the bellies on a few toque sink in like a split top hot dog bunn when turned belly up . did start atleast catching some mid 20 inch togue this weekend atleast and im not fishing for those on purpose

I thought they were alewives but I showed  that picture to the bios and they said they are yellow perch, we've been getting "decent" sebago salmon and all of the ones we keep are stuffed full and puke up dozens of them.

I caught a couple lakers in the spring that spit up a few smelt, haven't heard anything about white fish.

they could be yellow perch and not baby smallmouth but in all honesty ive never caught a yellow perch in the big bay.  i was fishing circles around that giant rock pile just south of me staying on the 40 foot side of the rocks, i could see it being either of the two hiding in the rock pile. they definitely didnt have the lower alewife jaw

alot of the togue are looking that way. funny the salmon look fat and healthy and some of the togue arent even filletable at 27 inches. we did find some fatter ones this weekend but for the most part they are skinney
