Is this a lake or what?
« on: Jul 04, 2005, 02:43 AM »
Well it has been an interesting year so far in Southern Manitoba.  Really and I mean really unusual wet conditions have been hampering us for the last two months. Our nicest month so far has been April. take a look at the following pictures and see if you can determine lake or farmers field.

Yes that is actually a farmers field with grain that is approx 1 ft in height below that water.

Our rivers such as the Red and Assiniboine are flooding big time. Where I live in Minnedosa we have had no less then two ft of water in the last month and a half. It does not go two days without precipitation. farmers all around us are losing their crops. Western Canada is in trouble. The weather just does not make sense. Hopefully it all changes very soon.

Wait for the water to settle a little, pick a few smaller puddle type ponds, draw your bow, shoot the carp  :)
