Thanks ! I have been mapping my way to great spots for many years . Before gps lol . I like both shore and boat fishing , depending on time & weather . This particular pond is VERY small 1/10 of a mile across , east to west and north to south  !

I rarely do well from shore so thats def a good one. I dunno about your spots but here many of the shore spots are covered in poison ivy. It stinks.

We have tons of ivy , I just don't touch it lol . I wish I lived in your area ! My 4's & 5's would be 7's & 8's :-)

Great article in this months Field and  Stream about hot spots that are usually around new housing developments that are built around old farm ponds, run off ponds behind commercial buildings etc.  Areas that most people would not think about fishing but hold some nice fish.

I know a couple off those "id never fish there" waters around worcester and auburn. Just found another one yesterday i found out has some large mouth in it just need to fish it more to see if theres some big ones in it.

My first contender for the Derby ! 4 lbs 18 3/4 " ! I tried numerous times to get a photo of this bass next to a tape measure (no success ) it kept flopping . Then trying to get a photo of the fish , me , and the pond by myself is just ridiculously hard !!!!! So I don't see the point in killing a bass trying to follow ALL the rules ! I think a picture on the ground next to the pond should be fine ! WHAT IS THE POINT OF ME HOLDING IT WITH THE POND BEHIND ME !?!? It's an any pond,lake,river Derby ! Who's to say one guy (not entered) catches a bass and his buddy holds it ! I guess what I'm saying is , I don't need a first place trophy to prove I'm a great bass angler ! Let the youths have it

I'm in that online tourney but didn't have a card printed yet, oh well. Hard to photo with fish flopping and bright sun with my crappy phone camera. Caught Jul 3 on my lunch break, rubber mouse, Assabet River. 20" long.

That was my problem , flopping fish , sunny, by myself ! I'll try again tomorrow ,last chance .
