My Mrs scored again this afternoon. Now she is all tagged out for bucks with an uncanny ability to shoot deer 1/2 hr before dark!

Due to some stupid heart and lung problems my hunting time is nil. Thanks to the generosity of friends, two deer were given to us. Had my 10 year old helper come down. He has been helping me for 6 years now. He skinned his first deer by himself last year. He did both today. We took a break and cooked some venison over the fire we had to keep warm. After the break, I watched as he boned the meat as they were hanging. I can rest comfortly knowing he  will carry on when I'm gone. He says "This is satisfying" I love it.

I read there is another company that made the same exact rife glade mine is the real deal and yes that is a big doe but the lead for was bigger but someone didn't click the safety all the way off lolol
I never knew that greensider  I bought mine in 73 not knowing it's origin.  My wife's rifle came along much later but according to Winchester, It was made around the same time period. They were both sent in for an old recall part and I had the manufacture date checked. Those old Wins were built to last.

He is at 3 years old here. I was out hanging a deer with a buddy when he came out dressed like this and said "I'm a hunter too Papa"
He is also an accomplished sausage maker too. He keeps me young.
