Nice work, looks real sharp!
Very nice build. Got your storage and casting platform. That's alot of 3/4 plywood. I assume this is for small ponds/lakes cus that 6hp probably won't move that thing much and the river would be tuff
Sweet. Nice pics. I think I would of used treated wood. For only a few bucks more would of given you more years of abuse.
Great job! I've got one you could work on next!!!
I sealed the wood first before I used it. With it just being a summer boat for the river, and being stored indoors, I think it will last a long time. Heard too many bad things about treated lumber and aluminum boats not mixing too well. Wasn't buying marine grade lol.
Green treated plywood is extremely corrosive to aluminum, WISE CHOICE. Regular exterior grade ply and marine use the same glues, the only difference is marine grade has no voids. Marine grade ply will rot just as fast as exterior if left un-sealed. Are you planning on putting an extension on the tiller handle or can you comfortably reach it the way youve got it setup. Im contemplating building a tiller extension for a boat im doing thats similar layout as yours. I guess I am still learning. Who would of thought. My bad.
