It's official. I'm down in my cave waiting for Mama to wake up and I heard my woodpecker weather man on the rain cap of my chimney. For 5 years now, there has been a Hairy woodpecker hammering on it. Hit bill has to be made of steel or it would be shattered. He will hammer 10-15 minutes at a time. If I open the wood stove door, it is pretty loud in the house. Sparrows are nest building like mad around here too.
