No fish caught by anyone yesterday but a nice day on the water, friends didn't do any good Friday either.

Couldn't make it out. Was that a tight group of people on the beach?

Must of been a school bus load of kids, they were chanting and cheering. My grandson from KV track team goes there and runs the dunes then take a dip in the lake, nice day yesterday.

Maybe that is why my nipsco bill is so high. October will be cooler.

I just got back from northern Michigan. It was like summer up there too on some days.

Not much happening. Looks like we are going to have to wait another week or so. Just hope we can have another shot at some. Calling for 21 foot waves tomorrow. That would be a sight to see.

I was near Lake Huron in Northeast Michigan and checked out the local river the salmon run up (Alpena Thunderbay River) Water was still warm and no significant run had taken place while I was there. Allegedly it started about the time I left a couple of days ago according to the MDNR fishing report, but I'm skeptical. The water in the river was close to 70 F.

Going to try around the mouth of burns on Friday. Hoping the rain and cold weather might get something going. Seen a few reports of some nice kings caught. One was up in the ditch a ways.

Yes, it is getting close to that time. Once the kings come the perch go way out. Still hoping for another perch fry.

that's actually what I was hoping for but the extended forecast doesn't look good.
