i need a new motor for my 12 aluminum v hull boat. Which should I get A 4 stroke 8 hp @ $1395 or a 6hp 2 stroke @ $1195. The price is not a big deal. The hp is I have heard that I will not get any more performance out of the 8 4stroke than a 6 2 stroke because of weight etc. A 6 is fine for most of my needs but I do go in a river that it is slow going coming back to the launch due to the current and was hoping to go bigger hp. Also i throw this boat into back of p/u truck and remove motor each use. no trailer. any info?
