is there a way to refinish my fiberglass canoe

i just picked one up for $100 and was wondering if there is a easy way to sand it down a little and refinish it.what kind of paint is the best and is there some kind of coating that i could use thanks for any help.

Paint it like you would paint a car. D-a  it, fill any imperfections, tape off what you don't want painted, prime it, lightly scuff primer and paint what color you want.


Now the cheap way. Make surface is clean and dry. find spray paint thats close to color and spray away.
