or There's No Place Like Home
I fished the South Hoosic in Adams for a little under an hour this morning, from the Old Stone Mill to a little below Elm Rock.
Partly sunny, 32 degrees. Water kinda on the high side, but not roaring like last week.
I caught a 10" and a 12" brown by Elm Rock, the only two hits I had all morning.
In the afternoon, my son and I fished three ponds (Mill, Long and Second Pond) at the Grafton Lakes State Park in Grafton,NY (since it was Free Fishing Day in NY) from 12 to 2 PM.
It was sunnnier but even colder (maybe 30 degrees) (we saw puddles covered with ice) and intermittently breezy up there.
The only sign of aquatic life we saw were a few salamanders still swimming around the shore (which kinda surprised me).
