North and South Hoosic
« on: Aug 22, 2021, 03:08 PM »
I fished the North Hoosic (and Hudson Brook) in North Adams between 12:15 PM and 2:15 PM.

Light rain and 72 degrees. Water levels  were low.

Other than a couple light taps from undersized fish, I didn't have any action on the North Hoosic, from Natural Marble Bridge State Park to below Eclipse Mill dam.

However, I was able to reel in one 9" brown in the Park on Hudson Brook.

Then I drove down to Adams and fished the South Hoosic from Old Stone Mill to a little below Elm Rock.

Steady rain and 62 degrees.  Water levels a little bit higher.

I caught a 15" rainbow below the small roll dam above Elm Rock, an 8" sunfish (a bit oddly) on the lower end of Elm Rock, and then a 14" and 17" rainbow below the small water fall downstream frrom Elm Rock.

It seems to have stopped raining here, at least for now.
