Flat waters
« on: Aug 22, 2021, 04:21 PM »
Made it out in the canoe last night to a local bass pond for some scum frog action... The action was steady with lots of hits, but out of like 20 hits only 2 fish got it in their mouth, one my drag was set to lose for scum frogging, and the other I never connected with... Still lots of fun and as the night darkened I was ready to start landing some fish... This pond you can see where you park your car and as the "real" fish turned on, someone stopped and started looking in my car with a flashlight... A fast paddle back and no one was there, with no foul play apparent (luckily), but the night was done... It was a very cool sunset and the wind dropped so here is one of the pics I took;

Sorry to hear your fishing was cut short just as it looked like it might turn productive, but that's one cool sunset photo.

Thought of that and maybe it was... Very often they turn their lights on when they pull over, but no flashing lights. I will never know. Well, it is not as if I have not caught a few bass before and will in the future... The time spent before was great and I can settle for that!
Here are two more pics that I liked;

Great pics!
The Scum Frog is so soft that it has increased my catch ratio but it is still not a great percentage.
