Like most, I don't fish, or hunt, as much as I would like to due to work and family commitments. But I love reading the posts to see how others are doing. Came over here from the shanty.

Heey Everyone,

Welcome to Myfishfinder...Please take a minute to introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself here!!
My name is Dana. i grew up on the ocean. I have commercial fished, and sport fished all my life, on the ocean. maine lakes ponds, streams, and rivers. I fly fish, bass fish, troll, fish with live bait etc... If it swims I will catch it. I trap , and net bait. I have had a salt water bait, and tackle shop in the 90's, and started back up again last year. new location, and getting into more freshwater tackle, and bait, but still carry saltwater bait. I hope it is a better striper yr than last. first priority is catching a big salmon out of lake auburn by sneaking a smelt under the ice. smelt dipping here soon. wahooooo. i'm new to these sites, and think i'll like it. Thanks to the guy that came into my shop and told me about it :)

Hi, my name is Wayne, and I'm a fishoholic.
I'll believe it's a problem, only when my boss says it is.
But I am on a 12 step program, 12 steps to my boat!
I'm strictly a brookie and landlocked kind of guy, but willing to try new things.
I don't go fishing to catch fish, I just go fishing.
I always practice catch and release, I'm just not getting any better at it.
And they say practice makes perfect, so I keep practicing.
Are all fishermen liars? Or do just liars fish?
I don't lie about the fish I've caught, but nobody believes the stories I tell.
Someday I'll remember to bring the camera. really.....
I've made a video about camping and fishing, hope you like it.
Camping Video (http://www.atvfan.com/album/view/5601/)
I use a cheap camcorder and camera, so don't expect great quality footage.
Great Camping Video,Wayne! :thumbup_smilie: :clapping:.......Wish I were that creative??.........Welcome Aboard, Lou

I'm Jeff from Whitefield. I try to hit brooks/rivers hard until July. Then it's on to stripers (if there are any around :P). This year will be taking my almost 3 year old son out on his first fishing trip! Took a trip to Cab's 2 weeks ago to pick up his first pole! Kid was GLUED to the aquarium down there and at Bean's! One of his favorite books is "Swimmy".

Welcome to Myfishfinder...Please take a minute to introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself here!!
Hi - My name is Ken. Been salt water fishing all my life. Just started fresh water a couple of years ago. Going after my first salmon soon. Look forward to it. Been getting a lot of good advice from Lunker. Great site!
-
Hi, My name is Liam...I fish, and fish, and fish. When I am not fishing I think about fishing, or watch fishing shows or fishing videos. I sometimes hang around the fishing section at stores and fantasize about all the beautiful gear. I want to swim in L.L. Bean's indoor trout pond. I knocked myself out diving into the glass at the Cabela's aquarium. And I am forever banned from the Boston Aquarium for chummin' in the shark tank. Well, not all of this is true, but I really do love all types of fishing. :rotflol: Have a great season everybody, be safe, and don't litter.
-
Hello all. My name is Chris. I've kicked around on the Shanty a little bit, so I figured I should follow the crowd over here. I've been fishing all my life. I bought my first boat 2 years ago and am enjoying learning the art (and science) of trolling.
Bring on ice-out!
-
Hi all. My name is Magnus and I live down in Brunswick/Topsham. I grew up in northern MN, fishing for Walleye, brookies and coho/lakers (as we call togue back home) before the Navy sent me on a grand tour of the South/Southwest for 12 years. My wife and I jumped at the chance to move back north, so ended up at BNAS in '04. We decided we liked ME more than we liked the Navy, so five years later we're still here. Stumbled across these boards last summer and has been a pleasure "meeting" so many friendly folks. Alot of knowledge and helpful advice around here...I know I've learned alot already!
-
Hey guys, just waitin for ice out up north, ready to go.
-
Many of you will recognize me from IS. I found that site early last winter. I live in the mountains north of Farmington. don't get to fish much in summer because of work. Winter is my fishing time. I am very familiar with the mountains of western Maine and will try to offer helpful info like where the access points to many small ponds without giving away any secret holes. Have fun. I will probably meet some of you on the ice next winter.

Hi all. I'm Jim from Arundel. Been fishing for as long as I can remember. Fish for whatever will put a bend in my pole. Lucky to have a wife that loves to fish almost as much as me. She finally realizes you lose all track of time when you're fishing. It's either too dark to fish or just light enough :) And "one more cast" has become one of her favorite phrases.
Just wanted to share a few pics with the group. See you on the water.

:bowdown:Hello, I'm Gail and was told about this site from pikeslayer42 ( Ron ) I've read some of the Forum and different site; fine it interesting, My question to pikeslayer42 is Who will catch the BIGGEST Bass @ the lake this season ?? ;D He knows which lake I'm talking about :-*
I'm sure you will catch the biggest Bass since you have twice as much time to fish that lake than I do... ??? Good Luck...
-
Howdy. I'm Travis - joined IceShanty this year, and thought I'd migrate over here to MyFishFinder for the open water season.
-
Thats not fair, I wanna try for the big one too. :whistling:
8)Chances are you would win. I usually only fish at one location, so your chances are GREATER :-\

Mainelygone here..
Spent alot of time on Ice Shanty back awhile and decided to move from the Grand State of Maine to the wild west, land of the big green trees and salmon. Miss the spring brookies and blackflies and Dave and Dave but the sturgeon, salmon, rainbows, steelhead make it all better.
-
Name's Snowman6902. Talked to a lot of you on Shanty through out this winter. Learned a lot from y'all there so I figured I'd follow you all here. I live in Hollis and love going out fishing and just enjoying myself and taking my daughter and watching her enjoy herself.
-
Hi, My name is Josh. I came over from Ice Shanty. My wife jokes that the only reason I work is to hunt and fish. I tell her "its no joke"!!! During the spring and early summer brook trout and salmon are my target species. Later into the summer I can be found on my Grady White fishing intercoastal waters. Looking forward to talking with everyone.
-
great to see everyone making their way over! welcome to all the newcomers!
-
Does that mean the NP challenge is gonna follow you over here?? Maybe that thing will just never end.... :D
YES! NP Has Come to join the fellow open water fisher people :) I had such a great time on Ice Shanty that I felt the need to keep the membership goin all year round! and keep intouch with the Great people on both sites....Plus a lady fisher could learn a thing or two on here....God knows I did this Icefishing season Thank You All!!
Oh And........I hope Flats doesnt challenge me cause, guess what, I'm winning already LOL!

Bushwacka here. Recent member to both IS and MFF.
Looks like two good places to learn lots.
-
I've been viewing this site for quite some time now and figured I would join. I typically fish for bass, but spend a good portion of the summer chasing blues and stripers with my father. We also fish for salmon and trout after ice out.
-
Hi. I'm prchslyr. I'm another IS addict that made my way over here. I love to be outdoors. I love to fish. But I don't necessarily need to catch fish. The older I get, the more I value each trip out for the tranquility that can be had. I am proud to be passing this pastime and my perspective of it to my two boys. I prefer to fish frozen lakes.
-
Josh, I come here in the off season when IS isnt too active

My name is Jeremy Tichy and i just got into fishing

Hello everyone. My name is Steve and i am just getting back into the fresh water fishing scene after a long time away. I can see its going to be very addicting and time consuming. Now i just have to learn the current tactics for slaying those fish.
-
Welcome...the best tactic is just too simple.....right place, right time. My problem with that tactic is there are far too many places and not remotely enough time. :D
-
i made a post about lake ontario fishing and now i cannot find it can anyone tell me why
-
Hello everyone...My name is Alan and i've been addicted to fishing for 24 years...lol But seriously though a little about me. I have been fishing almost all my life mostly salt but love to fish for and catch anything.I have been a member of a popular saltwater site for quite a while and have been lurking here for about a year.I decided I had to register because I have had a question bothering me for months!....I have seen quite a few posts about catching CATFISH while targeting stripers...Are they catfish or hornpout (bullhead)? Is there any size to them? Does anyone have pics? I ask because I was under the impression that we didnt have catfish (except hornpout) Any info would be great...thanks Alan
-
Welcome sacostriperfisha. I do not know where you are located but I am from Pa and we have several kinds of catfish. We mainly fish for bullhead (hornpout) and channel catfish and flathead catfish.
http://www.fish.state.pa.us/pafish/fishhtms/chap13.htm (http://www.fish.state.pa.us/pafish/fishhtms/chap13.htm)
-
LOL... sorry figured it was just the Maine forum,I am in Maine
-
The catfish pretty much is in the kennebec. I think litchfield fisher has pictures of them I wouldnt eat them. And yes they are catfish and not hornpout
-
They are a invasive species illegally introduced by bucket biologist. Just like pike. They are found all through the river systems emptying into Merrymeeting bay. 8)

hey guys, new here (kinda obvious ). not new to forums though. my main hobbies are 4wheeling and snowmobiling, but when i can slow it down a bit i love to fish. i only made it out fishing a couple times this summer, was hoping to get a lot more in. i had an opportunity to take my business to the next level so unfortunately hobbies took a backseat to that. i usually have more free time in the winter anyway, and i prefer ice fishing over open water, so hopefully i'll be able to make up for lost time this winter :)
i'm also on iceshanty as The TK. TK HO is what i go by on the sled forum, just trying to keep the names the same. will probably have a mod change my name over on iceshanty when i get a minute.
that's me, i like to fish ;D
-

-
hey everyone just found this site, love the shanty seems like a good idea to sign up here for the spring time. happy open water season.... when ever it gets here ???
-
Hi my name is Andrew, I came over here from ice shanty. I like to fish for just about anything. really enjoy brook fishing but like I said will fish for just about anything.
-
My name's Josh, I am a freshman studying forestry and wildlife biology at UVM. I grew up hunting the big woods of northern Vermont, I am an avid outdoorman, I like to fish, ice fish, or fly fish for anything that swims and hunt anything that walks or flies. My favorites have to be tracking bucks as far as hunting goes, and for fishing its got to be just pushing the limits of my 6 weight fly rod. I do everything from trolling in my canoe for walleyes, to spring pike and bas, to the usual mountain stream brookies.
Sorry for the longer post, if you have any more questions just ask.
By the way I have the same username on iceshanty...
-
Hello. My name is Troy. If i would have known that there was an open water site and hunting site, I would not have chosen the name polartippah on the Shanty. LOL. I love to fish and hunt.
-
Welcome aboard Troy....

greetings all! Megunticook laker here. I'm from Lincolnville and spend a lot of time here on Megunticook lake .(although there are no laketrout in here) I guess I signed up to listen and learn tips from other fishermen. I would love to get a little help with the stripers in the Saint George River this year! Have only netted 1 legal striper in a number of years ??? I would love to invite any that wish to come and fish Megunticook lake with me to pm me and we can arrange something. My 16'cs is usually right on the dock (or the mooring when it gets crowded). ;D Cheers-Doug ;)

My name is Ian. While I am not new to MFF itself, I am new to the Maine section. I have only been here a few times in the past (regarding summer vacations), but now I am here and attending graduate school at UMaine Orono in fisheries.
I am the current NYS Record Holder for Striped Bass (inland). I really enjoy fishing for stripers on the Hudson and the Kennebec. I also do almost every other type of fishing, from ice fishing to trolling to flyfishing. Fresh and saltwater. Maine is really a great place to fish!

Hi, I'm new here. Been posting with the same name on a few other forums for several years. Just discovered this one late last fall, and it looks like a great group of fishermen. I'm mostly a saltwater guy focusing on stripers in the surf and sharks and groundfish from the boat. Looking to expand my freshwater skills so I can have something to catch before the shad show up and after the last stripers leave. I've done some fly fishing for trout and salmon early and late in the year, but I've never really gotten into it. So far this year, I've been focusing on pike, and having a blast doing it. Any pike tips would be greatly appreciated! And if anyone wants to do some surf, cod, or shark fishing later in the year and doesn't mind getting up at 2 am, let me know!
-
Hi, I'm from Massachusetts and have a camp in New Vineyard. Anyone know any good bass or trout lakes or ponds that are good in this area?

My name is Rusty I have 2 boats: a 16 foot fiberglass MFG with a 40 hp evinrude, also a 22' cedar strip canoe with a 10 hp evinrude. Both are older but work well. I have 3 young childeren, I've been fishing my whole life, I mostly fish lakes but do hit a few local spots that I can always get a few fryers for the pan. I work at a potato manufacturing plant as a shift coordinator/supervisor. I also head the TWI ( Training within Industry) program. I enjoy camping in a tent with my family on the lake with my dog and boat. I'm 32 and have a wonderful family. I fish mostly for brook trout and salmon. I also go on charters from Perkins Cove deep sea fishing, I've been to lake Ontario and hooked with a 26 lb king salmon it took 45 minutes to land, not to mention the blood running down my fingers. I fish on the ice and love it. My fiance and I are planning when we get married to to on a fishing trip for our honey moon. Fishing Rules
-
hey my name is Al all i can say is my wife had better not give me that ultimatum..... Ill miss her when she is gone!
-
i highly recommend the honeymoon fishing trip the wife and i went to lake ontario for ours, she out fished me to boot caught a 36 lb king out of sodus point. way better than Niagara.
-
My name is Dan, and I am primarily a Bass fishin' guy. I absolutely love Night Bassin! Just being out on the water at night knowing that a monster bass is just a cast away, keeps my excitement fresh! I do not own a boat, but have a small 13'3" Square Bear Canoe w/ a 55lb thrust trolling motor that get's me around pretty good... nothing like hearing a Bass SMASH a top water bait... nothing.
I also belong to and fish with a local club (Androscoggin Bassmasters) which I joined in late 2008. They hold 6 club tournaments per year May-Oct. I have learned a lot the past couple years while fishing with them, and I enjoy being able to fish all sorts of Maine Lakes, & Ponds that I normally could not fish from a canoe, or in the types of conditions that you can from a bass boat. I've met a great group of guys who also are obsessed with bass fishin' like me, and live for it. Great Fun!
Hope to meet some more fellow Maine anglers who love to fish, and hopefully gain some more knowledge to help me catch more BASS!
-
Hello everyone . Got hooked on the ice shanty this winter, thought it was time to join the fun. Really appreciate everyone sharing pics, hope to add something to the mix.

howdy all, my name's Mike and I live in Southern Maine. hadn't fished in years and after my girlfriend bought me a copy of "On Golden Pond" for my birthday a few years ago I had the inclination to pick up a rod for the first time since my childhood. Ever since then, the user nick says it all.
Actually was turned onto Ice Shanty by a guy I met fishing a derby on Mousam and found posts to be classy and informative. Since getting back into the sport, I'm proud to consider myself an angler - a lot of good folks willing to help others.
Don't find much time to post, but try to find the time to make it out on the waters.
-
Caught the Faver, I lve the movie on golden pond. That movie takes place on squam lake in new hamsphere. MY family has a camp there that has been in our family for close to a hundred years. Every time i hear of that movie it bring back so many great memories.
-
Hi everyone, I live in sebago like my login implies. I fish alot and having just bought a boat and I plan on fishing alot more. It has been about 6 years since I've owned a boat so, most of my fishing has been confined to Watchic Lake where a friend lives who bought my last boat. We catch alot of nice Bass both largemouth and smallmouth. I am looking forward fishing Sebago, Peabody and Hancock again. I have a strange shift at work that gives me from tuesday afternoon until friday afternoon off. If anybody has any similar time off send me a PM and maybe we can fish together. Most of my friends and family work normal shifts so, it's hard to hook up with any of them to go fishing. AT
-
Welcome to MFF Sebago!

Hi All,
Name's Foxy Brown. I'm originally from Dover-Foxcroft, but currently live in Southern Maine. With 2 kids under the age of 3 my chances to get out are slim to none. I look forward to hearing any tips on fly selections in the Saco, Pleasant, Little River, and any other good trout spots in the Buxton area! Can't wait to strap on the waders...

Hi Everyone, I'm wayne I love anything to do with the outdoors. Fishing& Hunting are at the top of the list. I've been fishing in maine since I was old enough to hold a pole. I've been fishing N.Y. salmon river for 8 years. Needless to say I'm hooked. Look forward to hearing from some of you.
-
My name is Johan Bergström. I live in Sweden and I have lived here for my entire life but I am however half Finnish since my father is a Finnish citizen. I'm 19 years old (turn 20 on the 6th of april) and I think i have been fishing for at least 17 of those almost 20 years :P
Now you may wonder what I'm doing on this forum....Well my girlfriend is American and she lives in Maine and if everything goes as planned (which it have so faaar) I'm gonna be living in Maine soon! And as I mentioned I LOVE fishing! and I have caught some monster Esox Lucius and Perch in my life (which used to be my target fish, Perch especially), my largest perch so far was about 1,5kg. I think know all I need to know about "how to catch fish" and usually it doesn't take long for me to learn where the best parts in a certain place is to catch certain fish as I always study both the fish and the waters before I throw out the bait. Everything I know I have picked up from very old wise people ;D
Now forums are perfect places to learn and get information and as I'm a rookie in Maine waters I believe it was a good decision to join this site so that I can do just that learn. I haven't had any good opportunities yet to try Maines waters but I can proudly say that I did catch a striper on my first trip to Maine! But it was a very small one in striper standards(have photo if someone wants to see it xD ). (I also caught a tiny yellow perch and a smallmouth).
Now thats my story for you lol i think i put in tooo much there xD
EDIT: Small question; here in Sweden I kept pike in my aquarium most of all to study them and secondly because they are impressive predators. Can you do this in Maine? keep a wild fish in an aquarium, like a pickerel? or is it out of the question?
-
Welcome to the site switchbreed. Kind of slow here now but it should be picking up real soon...
-
Hi My name is Sandra. Im Bobberstops (Rons) daughter. I love to fish. Its not a problem. Tightlines.

Welcome Johan! Met you on the Ice Shanty too.

Yes it is illegal in Maine.
As mentioned on IS, you will not have a hard time finding, catching, and best of all keeping our Yellow Perch (take/kill all you want). Once you get settled, we'll see about getting you hooked on trout fishing too.

Hi All,
Coming over from ice shanty- was my first season of ice fishing, and man, did I have a great time.
Never did much water type fishing as I've never had a fishing boat, but over the weekend I managed to snag a little motor for my little sailing dinghy, so this summer I can hit the lakes, and I can't wait!
I learned a ton from the ice shanty people, and look forward to learning a ton from people here.

With our powers combined we caught a ll salmon, brookie, brown and rainbow.

Love the outdoors in general fishing, hunting, and everything in between. Even though I enjoy snowmobiling and icefishing in the winter time i'm ready to get some lines in the water doesn't matter if it's a 6inch brookie or a 500lb bluefin it's all good (Just a little better with the tuna) :P

Hey everybody just signed up and pretty excited about it. I work to much like most of you, but when I'm not, I've either got a fly rod in my hand or a honey-do list. When there's no time left in the day to fish it's great to be able to come to a place like this see what the more fortunate folk have been up to. I grew up on the Kennebec in Solon and started wading with a fly rod as soon as I could stand up to the current. I believe in playing by the rules. I'm a catch and release kind of guy, but I do cook up a few brookies every now and then. Glad to be a member.
Tight lines everyone.

Hello, my real name is Dave, but you can call me anything as long as it is not late for fishing. 54 years old, live south of Bangor, but north of that section of Maine that has been invaded by flatlanders.. That narrows it down! Grew up in Waterville, great area for fishing. No pike back then! Just getting back into fishing after a 20+ year hiatus. Sorry to see the hardwater coming to an end but anxious to have a piece of aluminum between me and the water.
Let's go FISHING!

hello. New too this site! I live in Denmark and fish freshwater for salmon and trout. I just bought a 18 foot sea boss and want to take it and do some striper fishing
-
Hey everybody I go by FlatsAssassin and i'm new to the MFF board I hail from Florida been living in Maine for the last eight years.
I did alot of fishing in the back bays and tidal flats around Tampa Bay and the east coast most of my fishing involved fishing for redfish and snook hence the name "FlatsAssassin". Just now getting back into fishing freshwater with our new boat small 14' but hey it works. So anyway now I would like to try my hand at the saltwater side of things here but the fishing is so diffrent here, for one no sharks in shallow water I assume or what i've been told. So anyway hope to meet alot of new people here and get some ideas. Thanks again.
-
My name is Adam. This is my first post ever! Not too happy with my screen name, wish I could change it but chose it a while back and have been "lurking" since. Yep, really don't like it. I fish in NH where I live and in Maine, on a big lake up the road from Sebago, where I "camp". I've mined some great info and some laughs from the postings and hope I have something to contribute. I fish mostly bass(which I'm good at), coldwater species(which I'm not), and like the stripers and blues too. A little nervous about trying the photobucket thing but ill give it a whirl and see if I can post something to get started. Look forward to joining what seems like a great community of like minded ships of fools!
-

Hey guys. I go by rollout1213, and I am an out of stater. That being said, I love fishing in Maine, and usually take a few trips there each year to explore your great state. Back home I do a lot of warm water fly-fish, and am starting to get into saltwater fly-fishing. Around your neck of the woods, I am usually after cold water fare. I have followed this site in the past for advice, and I figured it was time to introduce myself.
-

Hi, I'm Jaime and I live on Sebago Lake in Standish. I was sent over from iceshanty where I have been a member for a couple of seasons. I love, love, love to fish. We spend most of the summer trolling for togue, but I'm planning on branching out a little more this summer now that we live on the lake. We've caught plenty of salmon, but we only keep one or two a year to eat and release the rest. This spring I'm planning to learn to fly fish also.
-
Welcome to the site.... Hope you have a great season..
-

Hi, my name is Collin, I'm 30 yrs old and live in Western Maine. Been lurking here and on iceshanty (iceloon) for quite some time, and decided to finally sign in. I have a wilderness systems tarpon 120 angler kayak that I've absolutely fallen in love with over the past couple years. I enjoy trolling in both the kayak and friends' boats on the many lakes and ponds in the area. I'm originally from NJ, but have been living up here for the past half dozen or so years. Being from NJ I grew up mostly bass fishing, and that's still one of my favorite things to do... although I tend to keep that on the down low because bass seems to be a dirty word around here lol. I enjoy any time out on and around the water fishing, taking pictures, and playing around with my gopro. Hoping to have a great upcoming open water season, to share some pix and videos of future outings, and being able to contribute to the site. Thanks!
-

Hey!
I'm Mike, found my way over here from IS (same user name). Used to fish a lot growing up with my dad, then competitive golf took over most of that time. Last few years been getting out more again with him and my brother. Punxsutawney Phil called for an early Spring and the winter has been anything but cold.
Tight Lines!

Signed up last year, but i think this is my first post. Transplant from the Dakotas, very well schooled in Walleye fishing. Did extremely well on warm water species last year, but no so much on cold water. Have a boat, 2012 Lund rebel Xl SS, 60 horse merc, 80# I-piliot link, and Hummingbird graph 898Si to be exact. Not afraid of traveling as in the Dakotas i would commonly trailer 120 more miles oneway to fish for the day. I want to learn all that I can and greatly appreciate any and all assistance. Just bought a house in newport, me so going in any direction should not be an issue.
Quick lakes I fished last year:
Unity pond
Long Pond (belgrade)
Messalonski
Brewer Lake
Long Pond (over by Alligator)
Swan lake
think thats it, caught 2 legal salmon on long, 3 trout (1 legal) on Messalonski, and some brookies in local streams(kept none). I really want learn more about this. The salmon was fantastic to eat!!!!
Again any and all sharing of knowledge is greatly appreciated, and I will gladly take anyone fishing that wants to go.

Hello guys,
My name is Damian Belanger from Vassalboro Maine. I am a recent graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and am an engineer. I am a avid ice fisherman, when it comes to open water I do the best I can with my 14ft aluminum boat with a 1976 mercury 20 h.p.
New to the trolling game but teaching myself as much as I can! Always looking to learn and pick the brains of the old timers when I can. Done a lot of open water bass fishing the last 5 years because I've only been home during peak bass season during that time stretch.
Anyways, looking forward to learning from all of you guys on this page.

Hi Guys and Gals,
I am new here to the forum. I have lived in NH since 01, but recently relocated to Lewiston to be with my fiance'. I've been out of fishing for a few years, long story divorce etc. , but have decided this summer to get back into it a lot more. My fiances father loves to fish so that is a plus. Before NH I lived in FL for 18 years and did a lot of Snook, Speckled sea trout and Redfish fishing. Focusing mostly on Snook the last years before moving.

Welcome to the site Jeff, look forward to hearing and seeing your adventures on here. Good luck!

My names Keith. I lived for brookie fishing as a kid, and young adult. My grandfather taught me with an old fly pole. I pretty much stopped fishing for about 20 years, but now I'm back at it.Got a small boat, and I'm taking up trolling, as well as brook fishing. Looking forward to being out more this year. Actually came here looking for fish finder info, stayed for the nice friendly forums.

Welcome aboard Keith. Good luck with the new fishing adventures. Getting back into it after 20 years is going to be a great feeling.

I know this is extremely out of date and in disuse, but I'm Patrick. Originally from north of Bangor but spent the past 12 odd years down Portland way. I primarily fish for Bass (Small/Large and some Striped) and Pike, switching over to salmon and trout once it's too cold to drag a swimbait across the bottom or if waiting 30 seconds between jerkbait rips becomes too tedious (and I'd rather clear ice out of fly rod guides over a casting or spinning rod any day).

Welcome everyone.

Name is Kevin, just recently purchased a cabin in Starks. Been fishing and hunting my whole life, but looking to get back into the salmon/togue trolling, and flyfishing that I did a lot as a kid with my dad. This forum looks like a pile of info. Looking forward to trying to learn some of the nearby ponds/lakes. More importantly trying to get some life experiences with my son. Gotta get it when you can, before its too late.
