Don’t know what happened to that topic, seems to be lost.
Anyway, I’m heading to a spot to try my luck with the fly rod on Rudd and maybe some gills. Mostly Rudd. They’re thick this time of year and I’ve got to believe I can get them to take.
I’ll see in the morning.

Great winter pike bait for the ice! Save a few!

These weigh 3 lbs and more. Take a pretty big pike to swallow one. It’s actually an invasive specie. This morning I was greeted by a mink who had one on the dock happily eating breakfast.

Don't know if I qualify or not (turn 70 this year), but stopped over to my camp this afternoon. Pulled out the flyrod with a dry fly on it and landed 10 bluegills. Could have done a bunch more.

Anyone with a bit of grey and a fly rod qualifies.
Good job!

Funny how the memory fades with the years.
No worries...we’ll still be chucking flies and I’m an older fart than I was.

With all this covid stuff I have been tying a lot of flies. Actually they are getting better then past years ( way more time to tie ) . Now since its been two week after my last shot I plan on loosing some in trees and on wood , Geo
