I do buy from janns but I love going to fly shops and  checking things out and  chatting....it's a part of the fun of being a fly tyier......

well I took a break from mayflies and  started some wool headed sculpins olive for  gobies  black for bullheads and brown  with orange for  sculpins lol  fun fly to play with ...next  muddlers

should try zoo cougars in pearl and olive and yellow to mimic a perch  also what about a lefty's deceivers and clousers minnows  they work for us in the surf of lake Michigan this time of year if you need less weight than lead eyes use bead chain and do a few turns of lead on the hook shank to sink it if any thing.. there are lots of flies that have the design of multi color change going form say a red and white to a olive and yellow like a perch it is the clousers and deceivers...  you can mimic a broad range of bait fish and fish...

I might have a clouser or two in my box some where .... ;D

zoo cougers are  pretty much just another sculpin pattern ....I been using olive  to rep a goby for a while and  the  smallmouths and rock bass love them in creeks  big browns  do too ..... clousers  I use a lot in the salt along with surf candy .....I rather tie  drys and  nymphs  but I need a break once in awhile ....  green barred deciver  with  yellow  hen feathers and touch of orange  makes a great perch  ;)

love to see some of those western great lakes flies boondox  :thumbup_smilie:

ty   I thought about using either a piece of plastic or  fin sealing the  pectoral fins  in order to  get more action when you strip it in ....just a  idea

2-3 sessions worth. Prince's aren't mine and the XL frenchies were for ice. YES, I do love Walt's worms, 90% of trout my first year fly fishing were caught on them  ;). Some sloppy-ish flies there, but hey.. I'm still a rook and getting better!
