Inland Stream Trout Regulations
« on: Mar 24, 2021, 02:23 PM »
I am glad I read the new regulations book before the season started,  I'd be over my limit on most of the stream and rivers I fish.  3 trout with only one over 12".  Good luck everyone!

I don't keep trout 12" and under (1 or 2 brookies being a possible exception)and I don't catch and release good sized trout - I think thats a joke - its like they are trying to make all streams catch and release. Just my opinion

again 44 pages  of regulations  streams  changing 2 or 3 times in the course of a few miles   makes no since to me . i'm carrying the regulations with me and  the dec.s number and the local officers  in doubt i'm calling ...... be careful you don't need a ticket....and i don't think it hurts  to let your regional office know  your opinion  nor out legislators

I read all that I’m concerned with ,I can scratch 1 stream off my list ,
I think the state could generate lots of revenue opening week ,
Long as they were at it why didn’t they make it all barbless to save a few more from  being tossed back to croak

Trapp I’m sure that Jim is overwhelmed with calls at the region 7 office
I’m sure at some point he will get back to you , I have talked with him a few times plus he is also an avid trout fisherman
Also noticed that topics and posts mysteriously disappear 🤔

It is obvious that the state does not care about a good number of fishermen. Many streams are not being stocked anymore, numbers are down at many streams with others being stocked 4 times. You guys should be calling Albany and ask for the Director of Fisheries. The new Regulations are also difficult to understand for many streams.

That's a good idea that Trapper had, call the ECOs in your area and ask them the Regulations for the waters you fish.
