Nice cat Frank. They don’t get quite that big in the canal. But, I’m on a mission. Freezer is full and I’ve got plenty of play time.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Some pics from my father/son Catskill trip. We didn't make the trip last spring due to Covid but it was great to be together again throwing some flies, only the weather Gods were against us this time. Day one was wet, rain off and on all day but was calm, low water,  and plenty of bugs hatching with fish looking up in the afternoon. We landed more than 20 on dry flies with some others caught on nymphs earlier. Day 2 - got up to raging waters -  end of dry fly action so went to streamers early and caught some nice ones, including a 22 inch brown. Then we worked our way up the Beaverkill, catching some on nymphs in pocket water until about 1pm when the wind howled so bad we took our waders off and headed to the Roscoe Brewery. Last morning we woke up to snow and headed home after freezing our fingers for an hour or two. BRRRRR.

Great report, Bart. I'll be there in 19 days; can't wait. Practiced today getting 6  on p- Adams and caddis tan 16. Only a sprinkle, and water 2 ft. visibility but easily fishable with water at 55 deg.

As I read the article, it appears that the angler is from Wisconsin but the fish was caught in Arizona?
