Last Monday's Trip to the Q
« on: Apr 25, 2021, 08:30 AM »
Will and I fished Monday the 19th, most of the time jigging for Lakers. 50ft seemed to hold the most fish but got a nice one casting into 15ft on a steep grade. Tin jigs with a grub worked great but got them on a Vibra and a narrow spoon. Best of all I remembered to tell Will to smile!

We ended up with about 14 Lakers.

Seems like everyone had a good day that Monday. Everyone at the ramp was buzzing. How funny I accidentally cut the line and end up behind you two..oops!

What did you end up getting?
We do, do better on the Lakers as the water warms and they are not as spread out... Mornings of over 30 lakers have not been uncommon...

I will be night fishing in a week or so at night, too much fun and I need the exercise.

I would say we had similar numbers to you guys. It did seem like everywhere we tried had a few fish. Couple nice fish in the mix 27" the biggest. smallies were not as productive, they are starting to cruise tho

Some very nice lakers!  Congrats.  Surely a great time with all that action.

I have a friend that doesn't even consider trolling fishing.

It can get monotonous.

Sorry to hear that. It's been a windy spring here in the midwest!

This reminds me I didn't get a night pass this year. A lot going on this year with baby coming next month. Maybe I'll submit this weekend and pray I have time and energy this season

The first few months you'll have time if your wife is cool.  Her and baby will be sleeping...more than you!
