Trapper, let me know when you're ready.  I don't chase deer, only ducks and geese. I'm willing to learn.

I did a little test on this pattern this past weekend. I was happy!

The lighter body colors seemed more effective. can't wait to try them through the ice.

Just got a load of #8,10,12 nymph hooks for ice flies. I'm waiting on some Tungsten beads...then it's GAME ON! I'll be tying for the winter. I'm just finishing a refurbishing project on a South Bend 1133 fly reel for ice fishing. What a sweet reel.

Trap, you didn't say if you need any Pheasant tail. I have more than I could use.

Actually, they gifted me some tails last year. Methinks Larry is quite a busy man this time of year and JR is, I'm sure , busy with school and sports.

PM your address again Trap. Did I send you any parrot feathers? And, I still have a battery for you.

This morning I told the "The Old Man" I wanted the skin from his next deer. I want the croup for spinning up bass bugs and such. If history holds true he'll drop off the whole deer. He's the best of friends. You could join us for the "Grumpy Old Men" breakfast club some Saturday morning....It's an early call, but the entertainment is worth it ;D
