Tell us what species and average sizes. Do you have to use planer boards in the gin clear water?
Any pictures?

I troll at 2.4 to 2.8 mph for brown and rainbow trout using Rapala cd7 brown and rainbow lures in close to the rocks.
I average about one per outing. So far the fish have been 11" to 18".
I am learning and any help would be appreciated.

I know you say you're learning but does Tahoe have trophy potential? What kind of forage base does it have?. I think I read somewhere it has lake trout?

With that kind of clarity it must be quite oligitrophic which would limit productivity and possible trophy potential. I did notice the brown in the above picture isn't exactly a football.

Today I caught 4 brown trout .
3 were 13"
1 was 17"
2 were caught using Rapala cd5 and 2 using Rapala cd7 brown trout lures.
Trolling speed 2.8 mph.
