Title: Blue Pike?
Post by: PikeKing23 on Oct 25, 2019, 09:55 AM
We fised a backwater off the CT river quite often this year catching catfish, bass, bowfin, and pike.  Most of the fish are on the smaller side and I almost think this cove is the premier spawning site/ nursery for that stretch of the river.

All of the baby pike we catch have the color of the one in the photo. Have any of you guys seen this before? I am wondering if it is due to water color in that cove, or possibly a color mutation being passed on in the area? What do you guys think?
