Mounting Big John Planer board Mast
« on: May 31, 2013, 09:53 AM »
I bought a Big John Planer Board mast years ago for another boat. The mast has a plate on the bottom with 4 bolt holes to bolt to another plate which is bolted permanently to the boat. I am looking for a adapter that fits in my chair hole in the bow of my Lund Pro Sport. Any thoughts on where I can but one of these? I am sure I have seen a mount before that just slides into the hole where my forward seat would mount. Thanks

What did Big John customer service tell you ? That was obviously your first inquiry.

Big Jon will make a mount that fits in your specific pedestal mount.
You may be able to give them model &/or dimensions or you may have to send in the pedestal.

Had a similar problem, bought the Big Jon mast 15-20 years ago and it wouldn't fit into the seat pedestal base in my new boat. I bought a new base from BassPro and it fits nicely now. This is a pic of the pin on the bottom of the mast. Now the mast just sits in the base, it isn't secured with bolts but it's tight and works well for me.

And this is the new seat pedestal base I bought from BassPro
