water temp at Sheldrake Point is 36-37 degrees. I think we need 40+ to get them really active.

This thread cracks me up. Here in Indiana most people consider them a nuisance and here you guys are anticipating the bite. Just shows the differences in the regions. And what the heck is a peeper?

i did not travel to any fishable ice and my local ice went fast and early so my freezer is lookin pretty empty...my family and I are anxiously awaiting the bullhead bite, my son and daughter cant wait! I worked in the freezing sleet/rain/slush/snow whatever ya wanna call it all day today but we will make them bullhead pay soon fellas, soon...
done dirt cheap!

Grew up fishing brant lake during the summers always always always caught bullhead decent size too!

yup if ya all don't know what a peeper is  you wouldn't know how much fun bullheads are

  Got ya on the peepers now, we just call them small frogs ;D. I ate my fair share of bullheads growning up. I prefer them over other catfish. Not sure why they have a bad rap around here.

Tell em trapp... if the peepers r peepin, then I'm out creepin.. and if u never ate a bullhead then u belong right there where ya r in Indiana there bud.. us new york folk catch enough fish all year to know whats good for the table..  :o ;D ;)

I really  don't love eating them I just like  catching them drinking  coffee  from a thermos and eating a sandwich with worm dirty hands  :rotflol:
