Hopefully it comes up soon. I struggled to get the boat off and back on the hoist today.

Something is way off with the gauges.

I remember a while back the hatchery called and that was the excuse that the gauges were off , so maybe a person should actually go check things out and fix the problem , a visual just above the gates gives a very good idea where the lake is at , but that just observing for several decades from an ol buzzard 😉

this has nothing to do with current water levels but i found interesting looking at the oneida lake history
"Oneida Lake is a remnant of Lake Iroquois, a huge body of water that formed nearly 12,000 years ago when, as the Ice Age ended, a glacier dammed the St. Lawrence River, flooding much of Central New York. As global warming occurred and the ice mass shifted northward"
this means two things global warming is not new but rather a repeated weather cobdition and 2 with out it we would never have had oneida lake!!!! or the world as we know it ......

Not Oneida , got out yesterday big wind and some heavy rain , couldn’t go where we wanted ended up with a 1/2 pail of nice perch and called it a day

Started out in the canal, no bueno. Made one drift from fish creek ro snug harbor, place was devoid of walleyes and boats. Hit the flats on the east end and picked up 2 shorts and 2 keepers that went back. Fish are there and scattered about, but not on the bite. In at 6 out at 11, be back this weekend. It's going to be a good year!

Seems so weird to have a mid week opener. I am hoping to get out tomorrow evening. Too busy chasing turkeys though I am sure that I would do better fishing. Stupid birds!
