There are far to many variations to name them all, so please pick one of the above species and let us know if there is a specific member of the family you like the best (example: rainbow trout)
This poll was requested by Pinche on the Poll suggestion board

Char by far as in atlantic char, brook trout, Lake trout, :)
-
Browns or brookies are hard to beat.
-
any trout or char...
male brookie in spawning colors..cant beat that
-
yep, I had to include Bass, I did not vote for bass, but you have to admit some smallies can have some incredible markings on them.
Mine is a toss up between Sunfish and Rainbows, but I voted Rainbow, I love that metallic shimmer
-
Brookies, arctic char.
Grayling are cool looking.
-
Greyling and peac*ock bass
-
You still cant beat any fish in its spawning colors
-
Saltwater fish = Pygmy yellowtail angelfish .
-
Saltwater fish = Pygmy yellowtail angelfish .
Mandarin fish
-
Mandarin fish
Also a very good choice !
I used to have a saltwater tank and it got to be way too costly and I did'nt have the time to invest and that was'nt fair to the fish .
-
smallmouth bass. I love the markings on them.

an Orabic bat fish is very cool to
-
any fish that I can catch is by far the most beautiful!
After seeing a video of sunfish swimming around I would have to say they are pretty awsome in a very plain sort of way :-\
-
I must say snappers are nice looking too !!
-
what!? No catfish?/!!?? what... ???
-
brookies, rainbows, and salmon ;D
-
I would have to say any fish that Meadowpikeman posts a picture of is the prettiest. The colors of the trout up there just can't be beat.
-
i do like the look of crappie when they have a purple color on there back. but my favorite is the orange belly of the brown trout.
-
Brook trout, hands down.
-
I vote for trout!
Especially the fall colors when the belly has that pumpkin orange look!
Synergy and I were just talking about it over the weekend!
-
Based on what I've taken over the years, there seems to be many strains of Sunfish, and I've seen some that are absolutely gorgeous. They look like someone got out a pallet and painted them. Spotted all over with extremely vivid shades of turquoise, red, blue, and yellow; to me, hard to top. Saltwater dolphin fish are awfully beautiful too; as are spring run rainbow trout with their bright pink gill plate and lateral stripe.
-
what no suckers? If bass is on the list suckers have to be too
-
I picked crappie. i like the purple shimmer they throw off and the extra wide and tall fins.
But I had a feeling trout would win. ::)
I only fish inland lakes and dont think pictures do justice to most fish, since I have never cought a trout I went with crapppie
-
good god...id say trout...just like everyone else...fall brookies especially..but those early spring bright yellow bellied browns are a close second in my book.
-
Just my opinion.

Nothing looks better than a land locked salmon tail walking across the top of the water on a late September day.
-
If you go by colors, then the trouts take it hands down.
But I like big mean predator type fish.
With a face akin to a baracuda, and body often striped like a tiger,
the dark green's of the back, slowly transitioning to the silvery / white of the belly,
no fish is prettier than a musky! But don't try to kiss one! (Dancing is allowed however).
-
I like the native brook trout - caught them both here in PA and also in Quebec.
Dolly's in Alaska are incredible too.
-
that a good looking sunny, but what the hell is that white and orange thing sticking out its

-
Allthough the fish are nice, they have Nothing on the Gill I posted. :-\ Just my Opinion. I wonder if you could normalize those trout you caught to make the colors brighter?? :-[ :P ;D
Mike
-
just posting my Proof of why i feel trout are so pretty :)
-

(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv610%2Fflyfisherman%2Fbrookie2222.jpg&hash=4a0f802b639811f9d362e54a97244fb2)
-
I would also have to say any of the trout species in there spawing colors, they can be as colorful and varied as the fall leaves.
The golden trout are colorful all the time.
The little panfish like perch, pumpinkseed or bluegills would be a close second.
