ok yesterday got a bass it was 25" long and avrage build, but i was an idiot and forgot to get the girth of the fish whats a normal wiaght for a fish of that lenth i know it wont be perfect but she was a real nice fish just wish i had my scale with me got her on a white and purple spinnerbait with chrome willow leaf blade

25 inches?? thats a beast. if you measured correctly thats gotta be a 6lb fish at least....probably even heavier than that.  usually up here the 4 to 5 lb bass are in the 19 to 22 inch range obviously depending on the girth which can vary considerably.  ive gotten 18 inch bass that weighed 4 1/2 lbs once. smallies may tend to have less girth also.  my buddy recently caught a 5 1/4 smallie that was 23 inches.

well after i posted this my freind told me he got the girth it had a 17 inch girth  by my math it was 6.5lbs but not sure
