The past couple of weeks Monday evening has been the only time I can getaway. With the weather of the past weekend, a run to the coast did not look good and most of the rivers were running high and FULL of leaves. I would have dropped the canoe in, but with a nasty bone bruise on my elbow, I thought it best to give it a break... So I headed West on rt 2 and hit some spots on the way. The Millers gave up a pretty little Rainbow on a Roostertail, after 80% of the time hooking leaves. Then I hit a spot on the Conn River that was not blown out with all the rain and picked up a couple of Walleye, one worth a pic.
I then hit a few more spots without a tap. A great evening out with fish, Eagles, mild temps and the last of the fall colors. I hope to get out a few more times before I have to start cutting holes. If next Monday is decent, a trip to the South shore is planned.
