The derby thread hasn't had a post since 2011 so I'll put it here. The annual Easthampton (MA) Trout Derby will be held this Saturday, May 21, from 6 AM to 2PM. For kids 6-14, and it's free. If you don't know the Nashawannuck Pond, most of the bank access is on the north shore (along Cottage St.), which is the deepest part, and along the west shore. The boat launch is on Water Lane, but it will be crowded. No gas motors.
