My first Stripers

Started at sunrise fishing the out going tide from shore. Caught 4 macs on my second cast. Put 2 of them out on 2 rods and I got bites right off. In between catching Stripers I kept busy catching pollack and more Mackerel. I landed 6 Stripers and missed a few more. The biggest was a 24” All released to grow bigger. I saw a fisherman the next rock over keep a short fish 😡. Not a bad start and I was home by 10 am.

Macs and pollack work great under a balloon bobber. It’s awesome when they get hit and the Striper runs with it.

Wayne - nice work with the stripers. unfortunate with the fishery still as it is that someone would be harvesting fish below size. I was aware of an issue one area where I was fishing, one thing about one fish, these guys were relentless. Marine Patrol put an end to that as those fines add up.
