We just got back from there a while ago...I didn't even notice it.  We caught a number of goldeye...not fast and furious, but we had some fun.  We kept a couple for bait, so my wife is cleaning them as we speak...I guess they are going on the BBQ instead of a cat's mouth.

Around here it's just channels and bullhead for catfish with any size.

Couple days?  That tree could heat a house for a couple weeks.

:cookoo:   Any current that could move a tree that was that big I'd be staying plenty away from it.

Wonder how old that tree was before it died?    Its huge it must have been what 100?

I would guess much older, oaks don't grow acorns until they are 50 yrs old, I have seen some oaks with a girth of about 10"s full of acorns. I am not sure as to what that tree was, but I would bet it is older than that. It is huge

Holly Molly, that's one giant tree. It looks like it's been in the river for some time as all the bark is gone, true drift wood.
I do Wood Spirit wood carvings, and could sure have fun with a big old tree like that. I could add many little faces or one big one.
That would be one nasty lure collector if it ever gets wash back into the river.
