Title: The weather
Post by: chris458wm on Oct 13, 2018, 06:03 PM
It seems like the Monsoon is finally breaking and we're getting some good temps to prepping the lakes for early ice.  It's going to be in the 30's for the lows at my house for the next ten days according to the Weather Channel app which is fine by me especially if it gets rid of the d**n rain.

Trouble is just because it's below average temps now doesn't mean it's a long term trend. It could go the other way in November or December.

We've all experienced cold autumns filled by mild winters.

But we can hope!

I do remember one year where late October was cold and temps really went downhill in early November and stayed there. We had early ice that year!

Nope.
It's a long term trend.
Every year at this time it gets colder for about 6 months and then we have another long term trend where it gets warmer for the next 6 months.

But for now...……….it SUX!

Mac thinks weather is a four letter word... he won’t even call it by it’s name... a trend huh? That’s an optimists way of looking at it.

When I win the lottery I'm going to buy a vacation home in Costa Rica and have Mac take care of it in the winter while I'm up here ice fishing,
