Help: Hum Ducer won't fit on trolling motor
« on: Feb 20, 2020, 05:12 PM »
I just bought a Hum Helix 10 Mega SI G2n from Bass Pro and the ducer is too long for my Minn Kota 70# trolling motor.
Hum said I have some options:
1. I can mount the ducer on the transom, but I already have a Helix 9 ducer mounted there. I can have both ducers mounted on the transom but is that practical?
2. Hum will swap it for a SI trolling motor ducer that does not have Mega.
3. Hum will swap it for a trolling motor mega ducer without SI.
What do you think I should do?

Well that sucks. As far as two transducers on the transom that will work. Guess it depends on where you are mounting the monitor. Guessing you wanted to put the ducer on the TM to have the monitor in the front of your boat. So as long as the wiring that came with the unit is long enough you should be good to go. Good luck.
