Perch eggs?
« on: Apr 10, 2011, 02:57 PM »
so - it was a banner day today with the perch, just about to get frying  ;D
apparently my judgement of a "spawned out" fish was wrong, and I ended up with some females full of eggs  :'(
I really hate to do that, but it's a little late now - anyone use the perch eggs for bait or anything?  Seems like a waste - I was wondering if you just chuck 'em or what?

eat em up man, just wash them well, dust with flour, salt and pepper and fry in lots of butter.  lemon juice afterwards, delicious.

 prairie caviar.
got a fish on the line and my boat on the water
and it's gettin' near time to take the cows to the slaughter

yeah, I was wondering about that.  so - take them out of the sac and chuck the bunch into the pan?  Is the idea to cook the "ball" of eggs or mash 'em out and cook a patty?
I'll try anything - just want to make sure i do it up right
