This is the introduction to the 2006 MFF Tournament History Book:

      NY, with its great fisheries, was still riding high from its win during the icefishing tournament. Mean while, the scared "Maine-iacs" were keeping quite after their humiliating defeat. Plus they still owed NY lobsters and were afraid of NY's collection agencies. Down from the state of Pennsyltucky, a small, squeaky voice said"We can beat you NY!" I just have to remember to bring my camera and have my dad's cousin's, sister-wife, take pictures of my "hugh fisheses". Pretty soon Michigan wanted to join in on the fun. Then Canada, Nebraska, and other people wanted to try to take NY down. The lone member from Wisconsin even offered to "donate his points" to the neediest team.  "We have the better fishing!"  they bragged. " We'll make the NY eat Rock Bass Stew". Yet with all of their bragging, their pictures could not compare. For NY's members were posting the fish they caught so far, and they were big and there was many. The entire membership of MFF was at the edge of their computer chairs, waiting to see what would happen next.

whatever the outcome..ill take pleasure it not finishing last..

so what states/provinces are actually in the side tourney...the real contest is gonna be between maine(3rd) new york(2nd) and mich(1st) but im curios..is it NY,PA,MI,MANITOBA,ME? or is there more

No the contest is going to be NY 1st place, Michigan second, and Maine, Pennsylvania, and whoever else battling for 3rd.

at least we have pa to batter on. well thats all fine and dandy..but its kinda beating a dead horse...were has marsh been anyways...i havent seen him on here for some time??? is he doing some pre tourney scouting???

He and his mother lost their jobs the other day when their place of employment burnt to the ground. It's on the Pa tournament thread.

oh...kinda feel bad now...i would say more fishing..but he does live in pa and cant go to new york now with the price of gas.

Even though they had quite a crew
their fishing abilities never grew
They thought they could catch fish on-line

NY sat and sat and talked smack
while MI's entries were starting to stack
Now NY is reduced to sheepshead stew
While the MI anglers who were so few
Beat NY so bad we only needed two.

new york fisherman didnt know what do
for they have never eaten such an awful stew
forced to choke back the tears
a defeat they would remember for years.
there attitudes changed and there outlook was grim.
couldnt catch anything that would swim.
theyd whine and they'd moan using every excuse in the book
refusing to belive this tourney we took.
telling tale tales of the ones who got a way.
screaming of comebacks while signing up next may
all in all they're a good group of guys
but their heads up their butts half way to there eyes.
