80% chance of rain on Friday too. It should be an interesting opening weekend for sure.

Don't forget about the OLA meeting tonight. Doors open at 6PM, Gillette Road Middle School!

Geeze, I missed the meeting too! Too much on my mind lately I guess...It doesn't have anything to do with my missing the meeting;
but I did pass my 1st and hopefully last kidney stone this afternoon! :o OMG that hurt!

Found a tic on me on Monday after turkey hunting. I got it all off Ok; but I still got antibiotics for it today...better safe than sorry. I did call a young bird right to me with my wingbone call; but no beard. Really fun though...

Fred, after that puckered up ride to and from Pompey with mushy brakes...I did just get new pads all around and all 4 lines bled on the Jeep this past week...
stops much better now...and it's much quieter too. 8)

Good luck fishing this weekend fellas...try to stay out of the rain... ::)

The OLA meeting was very interesting. This was the first time I have attended one even tho I always renew my membership every year. An evening well spent.

I gotta be honest here... The general consensus and opinions amongst anglers on whether a certain lake is in good shape or not is usually solely on how many legal fish they catch.. I hear this from a lot of guys by me... alot of anglers don't realize that every lake has a cycle.. some cycles are longer than others.. about 4 years ago kinzua was a top lake to fish... yielding several 18" eyes for ALOT of anglers almost every outing... that was good for a couple years... last summer was the worst summer I've had for fishing there in 15 years ( doesn't mean the lake is in bad shape) just means it's in a cycle of reproduction and rebuilding..  Everything I've heard and read on Oneida, tells me that that lake isn't in bad shape.. the fish are there (maybe not as many as people want) but doesn't mean it's in bad shape..
Just my opinion
