Drinking beer at Eight-Thirty AM--Why would you wait until that late when you're fishing? I would have had at least four by then!! ::)

well at the rate i drink, i would have finished a 30 of stones by noon. but it was noon somewhere arch and thats all that really matters ;D

Oops, I wasn't thinking about the condition of the seas. You're right you can't really drink in rough water without chipping a tooth (bottles) or even worse spilling some beer. >:(

I always understood that it was when inebriated that one could stand still on a pitching craft.  Now when the ground is stable beneath the feet .........that's another story  ::)

Hey Mac, how come you're selling the boat?
I didn't come here to stay home.

Hey Mac, how come you're selling the boat?

This was taken from another thread that MAC has going about designing his new boat...
It will answer the question of why he is selling it!

I think Oak's suggestion of keeping the current boat and just getting a smaller one for inland lakes is a good idea.
As you said- You wouldn't of wanted a smaller boat on Monday!

Mike -

The thing is that Donna and I are the only ones using the boat these days.
My two boys are busy with college, jobs, and chasing skirts.

We need something that is a little smaller that I can launch in my camp.
I really don't go out in the rough stuff anymore by choice.
And when I'm out and it starts to kick up I go in.
Monday, you are right, it was good to be in a big boat.
5 years ago my boys went out with me all the time and a big boat was a good investment.
Nowadays I need something little more flexible and smaller.

Two boats, and the associated cost, just isn't in the cards today.
At retirement, maybe.
But not today.

Thanks Mike.

I posted this 'cause I saw Oak's post about the link to your (Mac) July 18th post Designing Next Fishing Boat. Holy moly Mac that was a long one but a good one!! I see you sure know exactly what you want. GOOD FOR YOU!!! Anyway I thought it was great but the boss didn't dig it as much as I did. He's no fun anyway! :nono:
I didn't come here to stay home.
