Did some fishing at Seeley this weekend. Boat traffic was too much to do much out in the boat, but perch fishing was great. I have never seen that big of perch getting caught out of Seeley, and I've fished it for the past 30plus years. The only sunfish caught were a few inches.  My buddy's little boy even caught a smallie out from under a dock.  Its sweet when it comes together for a little guy like that. He's fished in the past for short amounts of time, but this weekend all he wanted to do was fish.

Drove by Seely Lake on the 4th and kept right on driving!  What a boat circus.  A buddy stopped at Salmon and tossed a trout spinner and caught a Pike on the first cast at the state park.  Maybe I should have stopped.  You can't catch them if you dont try.  I did the grand North tour and drove up all the way to Kookanoosa eventually!
