That’s a cool idea ATP. Do you guys have a recipe you like for making your own pesto?

1 and a half cups of garlic scapes, end cut into 2-inch pieces
3/4 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup grated parm cheese
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup olive oil
Kosher salt and pepper to taste.

I blend all the ingredients together in the food processor until smooth. Ready to eat, or pour into the cube trays to freeze and once frozen stored in freezer bags until ready for use.

You ever use the garlic scrapes to make pesto? Man is it good with some fresh seafood and pasta.

I make pesto each year with some. Can't say it's our favorite fare. Most of the scrapes went into my gardens to deter he deer and rabbits. Worked well too.

Spent a week on the north shore of MA. While I was relaxing my neighbor let me down and didn’t water the beds. I fear the squash and zucchini are fried to the point of now return. Watering now in advance of rain tomorrow. Question is, are they salvagable? Or do I pull them and replant some peppers. I have a couple of each veggie for the 6 of each I planted. Thoughts?

They're salvageable. Water and TLC. Zucchini are fairly indestructible. Prune as necessary.

Thanks Bud! You plan on coming down for a trip again?
I'd sure like to.  We need to set something up.  Maybe a little later so the perch are more active.   ;D

Gave them so H2O before the first storm rolled through. Will prune away tomorrow morning before round 2 hits. Also need to get the neem oil back up and running

We’ll give it the TLC that it’s been missing and see what happens

I think it’s passed. Just think it’s user error. First attempt for me and crowded it pretty good which I don’t think is helping

Well just caught up and you guys are killing (in a good way) the gardens this season...   Nice..
The old L5 ,S1 took a crap on me yesterday morning so I have been layed out on the floor like a mackerel on a sandbar at low tide..
Feeling better now and another chiropractor apt tomorrow and should be good...
Got a good rain for the plants also..
We needed more lightning  to put some nitrogen in the soil...

Oneida can be outstanding, but she is fickle. I'd like to suggest we go to one of Bob's spots.
