Title: FAVORITE WATER TEMPS FOR PERCH
Post by: abishop on Jul 13, 2021, 08:01 AM
Looking at the current water temps on Lake Michigan from 6 feet to 33 feet the temperature is only 1/2 degree cooler. I know that they like the thermocline for the cooler water. Just wondering with all you specialists in fish ology, what do you believe is their favorite? Last I heard they were hanging out in the 30 to 40 foot range. Since then I do believe with the north blow we got , more warm water has come closer to our shores. Just trying to pick a few brains and educate myself a bit as to know what you all think. I am going tomorrow for my second outing this season, and was hoping to find some schools. I do like always, the first few minutes is just checking different depths and looking for the gold. When I come across a favorite spot the rods go in. Hope to see you out there, looks like a nice day. (keeping my fingers crossed).

I like being in skinny water with a surface temp of 70-75 degrees. Steady south winds for a few days straight

Found out the fav temp is 58 to 65 degrees. In case anyone wants to know. Judging by that they must be 50 to 60 fow. I hope they are shallower.
