I truly know why they are called this. They have very soft mouths and if you give them just a bit of slack say good bye. I love fishing tight line for these fish. We had a blast today, even though the cold was brutal. We probably missed over 50 bites. We kept a couple limits and released probably another 30 smaller ones. Water temp was 52 on the surface. Fish caught from 18-26 fow.

I set hook like am catfishing all I got with one arm. Hook set will then be top of mouth likely. And if u have ever hook a crappie in top of the mouth hook is very hard to get out. And I use long handle net!!!

After posting 5000 plus post between the two boards it's one thing he claims he still can't figure out. But he loves to see everyone else's pics though.
