Sandy Pond, Lake Ontario. Better than the Ocean, all the sand and none of the  salt.

You’re looking at water that is well over a foot low for this time of year and that will make it tough for bigger boats to get in or out of there.

Boats got hung up late last fall trying to get out , I could be wrong , but I believe that makes 3 times at big money to dredge

At least 3 times. There has to be a better solution.

With the money, that was spent to dredge, it could’ve been put to good use, like a break wall system possibly.

I think they are using the dredged sand to replenish some of the dunes.  That is what one of the residents told me anyway.

That must be why the water is so low 😉

Word I got on the inlet is all channel markers have been removed , enter and exit the lake at your own risk

dredging was halted due to plovers nesting and won't start up again until the chicks are gone last I saw. Was 3' at the deepest but narrow and now being July she typically starts dropping but who knows anymore.

They can spend all the money they want on dredging , but the prevailing winds will just keep filling it in
